Quota management allows to determine the maximum print cost an user or group can do in a month.

As soon as the user prints, his balance is lowered. When it turns zero all print jobs for this user will be canceled at the server. The user will receive a message in his workstation indicating that it was not possible to print due to quota restrictions.
 

This message is also sent if any group the user belongs doesn't have enough balance.

At any time users can get their balance, monthly quota and printed page costs for every registered printer through Print Spy Client, which may be installed in their workstations.

This feature allows to implement a evaluation-by-demand policy since when current balance is over users will be forced to request a temporary or permanent increase of their quota, allowing his manager to verify through reports if this request is justifiable.

Furthermore, if the user has access to printers with different page costs, he may opt to print in the low-cost one, even if it is a little more physically distant of his workspace, to comply with pre-established quota.
